Well, we use a tool to do the compression analysis, a very good one (but they don't like us mentioning tool names here), so we've been using Multi-value compression for a while. We've just done an analysis with that same tool to add compression to VARCHAR, which is new with v13.10, and between that and the tool detecting that we could change some CHAR columns to VARCHAR (retaining the compression), we've estimated that we can save 3 terabytes out of one 7 terabyte table. Cool beans.
