Collect stats on Column is similar to that at table level ..

When fired at table level...only those column on which stats are defined ,stats will be collected .

For a new table....column level has to happen first .

Advantage at column level is, if you have to abort the session with stats on columns running in between...the columns on which stats are collected remains collected .

But for a table level. You have to rerun in case you abort the session .
