I have a requirement where i need to pass the shell variable to a bteq script. I am not sure how to do it.

Following is the requirement

     databasename=ONE_DAY_TABLES
     bteq < bteqscript

IN the BTEQ script i need to access the variable databasename. I tried using export command. BUt didnt work as bteq wont understand shell variables.

Any help will be appreciated.
