You will want to recollect all statistics. In Teradata 13 the statistics collection collects at more intervals. Some of your queries may take "bad" plans do to the old statistics. It will be your choice if you want to turn over the system before you have recollected stats. My guess is you won't want to wait that long. So be prepared to abort a few queries that will perform poorly. Also have a script ready to collect on the most important tables first. I would suggest one script on all the small reference tables. And at least one more for the larger tables. If you run too many collect stats at the same time you will overwhelm the system making everyone's performance slow. Make sure you set the customers' expectations low for the first day or so. You will also want to start collection of stats on the column partition on PPI tables.
