From:   Dempsey, Mike

You will definitely see increased memory utilization.

It will also start up more slowly - especially the first time after you boot Windows.

This is inherent to .Net (and Java) applications which need to build their environment before they start.

A very long delay would be due to the History. Previous versions used to have a limit of 'n' rows (default 200) that would be loaded. Version 13.x has a Filter instead. Initially there will be no filter so it will load every row in your history - for some users that is over 50,000 rows!

The first thing you should do is to apply a filter. Right click in History and click Filter. The simplest filter (and most like the old row limit) is "Most recent 'n' days".

If you are encountering bugs please check what version you are running. The latest version of 13.0 is 13.0.0.15. (The latest versions of 13.10 and 13.11 are 13.10.0.8 and 13.11.0.3 respectively)

There is additional information on the Teradata Developer Exchange (developer.teradata.com/...) in the form of articles about each version of SQLA 13.x, including differences between 13.0 and the earlier VB versions of the application.
