I could use the 'database HCDBETL' statement, however, it will work for only the current session. I use Crystal Reports to run existing reports pointing to Teradata, and I face this issue when the sql in the report does not have a qualified tablenames. When I run crystal, it creates a new sesion and hence executing 'database HCDBETL;' through SQL Assistant will not server the purpose. Exectuing 'database HCDBETL;' will be valid for only that session and not to the session opened by Crystal Reports. Of course I could modify the sql to explicitly qualify the tablenames. But for long exisiting queries this becomes a tedious job. Is there any way to remediate this issue ? Thanks.
