No. The optimiser will know about the new AMPs because it reads the config information. I think this information is supplied by PDE, but (as far as I'm aware) it is NOT read from the stats.

I have never seen a recommendation / best practise etc which says that you must refresh stats ** simply ** because of a system expansion.

It can be a different matter if you are doing a software upgrade.

As I said earlier. Statistics describe your data demographics. And as the result of adding more amps your data demographics have not changed.
