I think you are right. I had a similar problem long back.

Take out the names of table/views into a flat file. Put a loop and feed one by one table name into query.

Better to use perl or any other script where you can fire multiple queries without disconnecting from database. (i.e. in single session )

Try to avoid business window if you are running on production system.
