I know of a long time Teradata customer with "Drop User" on DBC, it was implemented as part of a userID check-out process. Passwords were
maintained by the customer application.
The customer signed off on Teradata CS making it so the application could function as they desired, as there was danger of password out-of-sync
conditions in doing so.
I believe this was mentioned earlier... TSTSQL is still available via "CNSTERM / CNSTOOL / Remote Console" for use even after the DBC userID is
locked, allowing for additional logon attempts. And if you cant remember the password, you DO need to go to the GSC who will perform the
processes required to recover the DBC userID password to a known state when the Teradata machine is in "single user mode".
