Subj: | | Beta testers wanted for Query/Explain Analysis |
|
From: | | John Hall |
Ward-Analytics is looking for testers to beta-test significant changes to their Prism product - their announcement follows:
Ward Analytics will be carrying out a Beta-Test / Engineering Field Trial of V2.0 of its Prism software tool, and would like to invite
interested Teradata customers to participate in the exercise.
Prism allows the user to execute and analyse Teradata queries and Explains. By using Prism, the DBA, Developer, Analyst or Power-User etc can
assess the quality of an SQL statement and gauge it's likely effects on the data warehouse, and fix any issues identified.
Prism reads the Output from the Teradata Explain feature and displays the resultant plan in a visual grid format with the constituent elements
of each step separated out for identification and analysis. Additional natural-language functionality suggests potential remedial action(s) to
improve/fix the query, and also allows comparison of multiple queries etc.
The up-coming V2.0 of Prism contains substantial additional new functionality that requires field Beta-Testing, and on that basis we would like
to invite Teradata customers to register their interest in participating in the test exercise. The exercise is expected to last 30 days from
commencement. To receive further information, please visit the Prism beta-registration web page at:
