Sorry, I should also have said...

I have checked the Messages manual and that says that "mt.exe" is not found in my "vc\bin" folder. This is true, it's not in the same folder as the compiler and linker modules, but that's true of both systems. I have tried adding the mt.exe folder into my Windows PATH variable and restarting TD but to know avail.
