Hi, If the join is a simple two table, PI to PI join then I doubt if collecting stats will make any difference. The presence of stats will not change the structure of the join plan - and that is when stats will make a difference. Explain the join with/without stats and see if the structure of the plan (order of table access type of join etc) changes. If it doesn't then you don't need stats.
