 Note that in SQLA there is a Default Date Format option that allows you to specify the format you want to display all your dates in. You only need to cast the date to character and add a Format clause if you want a specific column to be formatted differently than your default
format. (The available range of formats depends on whether you are using SQLA 13.x or an older version)
