Hi,

What tool are you using to run these queries.

If you're using SQL Assistant then the FORMAT clause is ignored. This is because of the way that SQLA interfaces with the DBMS (using ODBC/NET etc). Using Bteq however you would see the formatted results, because it interfaces with the DBMS in a different way.

If you want to see the formatted results using SQLA then you need to CAST the results of the FORMAt as a CHAr data type.
