Thanks Barb - yes that 'was' the problem. The SQLTextInfo column in the DBQLSqlTbl is VC(31000) and UNICODE. However, that being captured SQL and we're all LATIN, I would not have thought it would make a difference - BUT - it did! I used

     ,TRANSLATE(QryLogSql.SqlTextInfo USING UNICODE_TO_LATIN)  AS "Query Text"

. . .and that solved the problem.
