That was only true for V2R4 (I believe) in 2.5 and beyond, you could not 'control' that anymore without having to specify an option somewhere
(can't remember that far back). In TD 12 and beyond, the queries can actually be 're-written' at execution time. Yeah - it was great for a while,
but then it's always been the optimizers 'domain' to control the way it wants to execute - and in general, it's done a good job!
