Hi,

I'm not sure about the DR that you found which may be the cause of the 507 error, but remember that the LogonMechanism setting is not restricted to the utilities. This is required for ANY program wishing to connect to Teradata. Having said that, most applications at most sites use the default value of 'TD2' (I think you'll find that a blank string is interpreted as TD2).

It looks like your DataStage software is not setting the correct value. This may have to be taken up with DataStage support.
