This is the unix variation on MVS/BTEQ below and has been posted in a similar/same format:

To run BTEQ from unix, using a piped technique (instead of "input < redir > output" and to re-direct unix std output ("1") and unix std. error ("2") to output files:

     Unix_flatout.sh |bteq 1> outmsg.txt 2> errout.txt
