Hi, I think it really depends on what type of queries you're doing. If you're running something like an INSERT/SELECT, UPDATE or DELETE - i.e. very little/no data transfer between the client and the dbms - then I don't think there's any real difference. All the work is done on the dbms platform and the client is basically irrelevant. You'd get the same performance submitting the query from an IBM mainframe as you would from a Windows PC or a Unix/Linus system etc etc. In my experience... Where there's a significant difference is when you're importing or exporting data. Bteq is faster. This is more to do with the ODBC overhead (as has been mentioned) than differences between Bteq and Queryman themselves. I don't know whether the .NET interface/api makes any difference in this area. Obviously the data volume will also make a difference, the bigger the volume the more likely you are to notice the difference.
