If the decision has been made to make the change, I'd recommend contacting your Netezza vendor to tell them to provide either a Netezza forum
where you can post questions like this, or an ex-Teradata customer that has made the conversion. You wouldn't even have to tell them you are
switching (if you are in the negotiation phase). In fact, I think they would be happy to provide if they have happy customers that have made the
change. I'd be a little leary if they wouldn't give that information.
I would assume you did benchmarks based on your current mixed workload and data to ensure that the response time you will be receiving meets
your end users requirements. Price will not matter if your end users are not receiving the same response they did on your current platform.
