 Dave already answered the ANSI/TERADATA part. For the '.' appearing for spaces it seems that you have switched on the 'Show Whitespace' option. (This has no effect on what is submitted to
the database or copied/pasted etc - it is a visual thing only) To switch it off click on the Show Whitespace tool button. It is the 5th toolbutton on the Query toolbar. (Below the Disconnect tool
button.)
