| We had a similar, but stranger requirement (which unfortunately meant that we ended up storing data that nobody actually queries) but when
we tried to use CLOB's, we couldn't find a tool (other than SQL Assistant) to load them with. Unless we wanted to write our own, of
course. | |
Unstructured data is getting more and more interesting but to be able to do something with it we need loading and querying tools at the ready.
Jumping on unstructured data with bare hands is like trying to catch the wind with bare hands. If we have a windmill at the ready, then things get
different.
Vendors like Oracle understood that simple paradigm early and have about ten years of production-level history. For a long time it looked like
Teradata were not interested in that market, then a couple of years ago they announced the Text Analytics program in co-operation with Attensity.
I can't find anything on it in the Forum's archives. Has anybody tried them out or perhaps have other Text Analytics tools to recommend?
