1.) What about compressing a negative value.

EX b

     ID decimal (4,0) Compress (-1)  Is valid  ? -- This should compress all values with -4

     ID integer Compress (-4) -- Is valid? -b   This should compress all values with -4

2.) Compressing a decimal column for 0 b&

     ID decimal (4,4 ) Compress (0)  -b   Should also compress 0.0000 or 0.00 Correct ?

Similarly compressing for any integer value ex 5 should also take care of the decimal part if 0 ie 5.00,5.0000
