I have done this on several occasions in the past. You need to create a ROLE and then go to the Teradata Manager Setup utility and have it
create a user. Instead of specifying a new user name user the Role name. When it goes to create the user it will error out because there is a role
by the same name. All of the grant will go to the role.
I have created administrative or DBA roles with full profile privileges and others with a more restrictive profile for general user accounts.
You will need to add a row to one of the DBCMNGR tables that associates a user with a Teradata Manager Profile.
