Hi, We are running a tool which is accessing the Data Dictionary of Teradata to retrieve Table Structure, Table Names, Column Names and Column Types. The connections is done via JDBC (and also tried via ODBC) on a Terdata V12 The workload of the System is constantly at 100% during the day and also most of the night due to batch processing. Our client is running TASM for workload management. I know that requests to the Data Dictionary will handled with a very low priority within Teradata. However the amount of data is quite low and we have to leave the request for overnight since we are almost not able to establish a connection to the Database due to the heavy workload and the low priority. Is there a way what we could to speed up the request that does not involve changing anything on the clients TASM setup? We tried already to uncheck the USE X VIEWS options but it did not improve the response time. In addition we tried some of the performance recommendations of the JDBC User guide but in the end we are still struggling with the low priority anyway. Any ideas? Thanks Joerg
