<-- Anonymously Posted: Thu, 19 Feb 2009 13:26 --> While monitoring TD sessions via Teradata Manager I noticed that all of our sessions were hitting our first node. Even my own... BTW, I am working in a 6 node environment. Nodes are TDPROD01COP1 - 6 I am currently connected to our Warehouse via ODBC. My configured connection name is TDPROD01. I assumed by using the name TDPROD01 that my connection would go to the least busiest node of the bunch. Apparently, that is not the case. Every session is connecting to the first node. As I test, I went into my Teradata ODBC connection and allowed it to resolve the IP Addresses for TDPROD01. This populated my ODBC connection with the names and IP Addresses of the 6 nodes. Now when I connect, it connects me to different nodes. Do I have something configured incorrectly. Can someone tell me why I cant use just TDPROD01? Your assistance is greatly appreciated!
