Subj:   Re: Load data from Oracle to Teradata in Linux

From:   Sekhar, Sudhansu

Hi Vinit,

Teradata Parallel Transporter (TPT) have an operater called "ODBC operator" which can be used to connect a DSN targeting Oracle.

You can use "ODBC operator" as a producer along with a load/update/stream operator as cunsumer to take data from Oracle and load it to Teradata.

Any way..... My doubt on your question is:

* You want job to be done in LINUX only. ( client is LINUX )

* Your Teradata database is in LINUX and you have doubt connecting Teradata database runs on LINUX can be connected using windows. (Teradata is in LINUX and client is in windows)

regards,

Sudhansu
