Subj:   Re: Load data from Oracle to Teradata in Linux

From:   Sekhar, Sudhansu

If you only need to pull data from Oracle and load it to Teradata database on LINUX only, then do the following:

1. Write PL/SQL to pull data from Oracle and store in any flat file.

2. Write any load script (multiload/Tpump/fastload) to load it into Teradata database.

Alternatively... If you have TPT (Teradata Parallel Transporter) in your environment then do the following:

Write a TPT script to do:

1. Get data from Oracle using "Teradata ODBC operator" as Producer and a DSN connecting Oracle

2. Load the data using "Teradata load operator"/"Teradata stream operator"/"Teradata update operator" as consumer tagetting Teradata database.

Go through the TPT documents available in www.infor.teradata.com.

Thanks & regards,

Sudhansu
