Hi Dave,

Here are the below ans.

1. what commands does your SP generate and/or execute ?

     our process is executing the below command to collect stat
     CALL SYSDBA.COLLECT_STATISTICS ('DATABASE/CONTAINER NAME',
           'TABLE NAME','N',' ',RETURN_MSG)

2. how big is the table that you're collecting statistics on ?

     234,454,889,472 bytes

3. how many columns/indexes are statistics being collected on ?

     Date      Time      Unique Values Column Names
     9/1/2005  11:10:57  6,466,042     ACCT_ID
     9/1/2005  12:23:20  266           DCSN_DT
     9/1/2005  13:13:06  15            ProBE_BTCH_EVT_TYPE_CD

4. what release of Teradata are you using ?

     RELEASE V2R.06.01.01.97
     VERSION 06.01.01.122

5. The table has 2 indexes

     a. PRIMARY INDEX on column "ACCT_ID".
     b. PARTITION INDEX ON column "DCSN_DT"
             BETWEEN DATE '2006-01-01' AND DATE '2011-12-31' EACH INTERVAL '1' MONTH.
