Hi, What do you mean by "...to a particular database..." ? I'm not certain this makes sense in a Teradata environment. Do you mean: - all sessions logged on to a Teradata system - but what happens if someone logs on after you've dropped all sessions ? - all sessions with their default database set to a particular database - but what happens if someone changes their default database after you've started processing ? - all sessions accessing tables/views etc in a particular database - but what happens if someone starts a query after you've started processing? I'm guessing from the "nightly batch run" comment that you're trying to prevent access to tables/views in a particular database whilst you load data into them.
