Subj:		Running query without using partition on a partition defined column

Hi,

Please give your suggestion on the partition concept without using partition defined column how do we run sql in the optimized way?

Following is the query

     SEL ,
             ,

     FROm
             

     INNER JOIN
             

     ON
     TAB1. =TAB2.
     AND
     TAB1. IN (SEL  FROM  GROUP BY 1)

We have partition on the TAB1.<col2> column when we use the hard coded date values in the IN clause query run with in 30 sec but needed above mentioned subquery that time taking long time more than 10 min. What is other best way to write this sql?
