I think the way you store the images would depend on what tools your users use to access them, and where your users are located. If the images are accessed locally, by your own application, you could choose either method. If they are accessed remotely, or using a third party tool, you would need to store them as BLOBs on the database since that tool would have no way to know how to pick up 'local' server files. I am not sure what version of Multiload supports loading BLOBs (if any). BLOBs up to 64K can be loaded by BTEQ. (Later versions may have removed that limit) Larger BLOBs can be Imported using SQL Assistant. If you need to load a large number of large BLOBs a custom app may be better. I think there is also a 'LobLoader' app available. (Not sure if it is an official product) Mike Dempsey
