Subj:   SQL request exceeds maximum allowed length of 1 MB

From:   Derwojed, Olaf

Hi I am Using Clementine to write to Teradata from the flat file.

22001 [NCR][ODBC Teradata Driver] SQL request exceeds
maximum allowed length of 1 MB

This pops up once in a while.

I am not sure what does this actually refers to ?

Does it mean:

A> that I have too many columns that I am trying to write? I.e. exceeding number of fields I am allowed to write/create in given table as assigned to me by higher powers in DBA?

B> that the total number on letters used for each column when added together exceeds 1MB and that it would make my SQL query/request exceed 1MB when compiled when I would try to access it / retrieve it?

C> something else that I did not covered in point A and B ?

I am trying to write new table with 118k rows and 22 fields/columns (from a flat file).

Kind of lost on that one :(
