There was (maybe still is) a problem in the ODBC driver (or DBS) where the column names/titles are not returned under some circumstances. If
SQL Assistant has no titles to use it will display A, B, C,... so that you have something to refer to.
I think this problem was related to something at the start of the query (my memory isn't that great!) rather than simply to use of a join.
[maybe a comment before the statement?]
Maybe someone else remombers what the cause was, and whether it has been corrected.
