<-- Anonymously Posted: Thu, 24 Jul 2008 15:46 --> Hi all, Currently we are in the process of migrating ETL process running in Mainframe to Windows environment by creating DOS batch scripts to replicate the functionality of JCL. We have come across a scenario where the output file for two fastexport scripts is same. The two scripts run as separate steps in JCL and the 2^nd export script just appends its output to the same file. This file is then used as input of a Multiload. The disposition of the file in Mainframe is: Step 1 DSN=P.WES.WE0130DL(+1), DISP=(NEW,CATLG,DELETE) Step 2 DSN=P.WES.WE0130DL(+1), DISP=(MOD,KEEP,DELETE) We could not make fastexport in windows to append its output to an already existing file. The data that is already written by the first fastexport gets overwritten instead of appending. Is there any method to achieve this functionality (other than creating two separate files and clubbing them together using DOS command) that is currently happening in Mainframe to Windows version of FastExport? Thanks in advance.
