If you remove the terada.lng file SQL Assistant will still execute OK but the syntax it uses will be that in the base.lng file.

Base.lng is intended for 'unknown' vendor databases, and has only the most common keywords in it. Since SQLA will refuse to execute any command that is not in the 'KeywordsNL' token list you will probably not be able to execute such things as a SHOW statement for example. (You would see similar problems if you selected 'ANSI SQL' from the View menu)

If the user renames/deletes the terada.lng file (rather than replacing it) is he then able to run the app?

Note that if you rename, delete or replace the terada.lng file you will need to exit and restart SQL Assistant before it has any effect. (Just in case you tried the test while the app was running.)

Also note that if you do replace one of the language files you must make sure they come from another instance of the SAME version of SQL Assistant. (including efix level)

The contents of these files changes at times and some are incompatible with others.
