Subj: | | Problem with changing DBCManager password |
|
From: | | Young, Mark |
Hi to the forum from a newbie.
I am having a problem with the DBCManager password and was hoping that someone could help me out. We have to change the password every month
and it was always done by a colleague who is now on leave. We originally changed it just by using the modify user command and while this worked,
we have found if we reboot the TDMgr server it then starts using an incorrect password and locking the account. We have tried going back through
the Administer screen and changing the password there, but it still seems to have stored a previous password in memory somewhere. We have a memory
issue currently with our server and it needs to be rebooted once a week and it is very annoying to have to reset the password after every reboot,
which involves stopping the service and then changing the password before restarting the service.
Cheers,
