The alert service is now a part of the main Teradata Manager service. There is no longer a separate component.
All configuration is now done through the 'Administer, Teradata Manager' menu of the Teradata Manager client. This menu alows you to specify
which systems are to be monitored , amoung other things.
Someone else mentioned that you need to apply the policy you create to the DBS. You can verify that this was done by checking the Active tab of
the Alert Editor and also by checking how many rows exist in dbcmngr.AlertLevel. There should be at least 35 rows. (varies by version and on what
alerts you have created.)
You should also make sure that the entry 'Process Alert Requests' (on the Rates tab of the Alert Editor, after selecting the DBS from the
Active tab) is not set to zero. [Zero is used to switch off alerts processing for that system]
