Subj:   Re: Timestamp & six digit second

From:   Michael Larkins

Hi Donna:

It would be incorrect to confirm:

that only the first 2 digits of the six digit micro second are populated for the datatype current_timestamp(6)?

This would be correct if you were talking about timestamp(0) with time zone. The format that you used is really data type timestamp(6) with time zone. If you are seeing something different, it is your ODBC. Use BTEQWin if you want to see what is truly stored in timestamp columns.
