Hi Bob:

I have run FastLoad, MLoad and FastExport from Europe to a server in the states. It works the same as if you were running them in the same room. The only potential downside is speed of the network(s) between the loading host and Teradata server (whereever it is located). I know of one site that loads from the East coast to the West coast of the US with a 10 Mb network. As you can imagine, it is not incredibly fast.
