Not in a view, but you could possible do it via a stored procedures / bteq scripts. Have the userid and password as parameters, check that against a databasetable holding the 'correct' password. If correct password has been used, run a grant select statement for that userid. Have a housekeeping process to run daily, hourly revoking granted access. Can you run grant statements in a procedure - if not call a series of bteqs scripts? Regards Di
