Hi Craig:

My first thought is a recursive query to pull out the numeric values, but a few details might be needed, like:

1. is there only one numeric field?

2. is it always the same length?

3. if multiple fields, do they stay separate or become one?

4. anything else you think is worth mentioning?

It would seem that your data source is a bit unhelpful. Could it become a csv file for loading instead of a single long varchar containing multiple pieces of info? It would make your life a lot simpler.
