Subj:   Controller for DBC

From:   Anomy Anom

<-- Anonymously Posted: Thu, 10 Apr 2008 11:42 -->

We are not able to create Tables and Procedures in Database "DBC" ex:(dbc.tablename,dbc.proc_name), for that we are creating sub databses(schema) like "gdwstg2,edwadmin" etc and in that we are creating all these ex:(gdwstg2.tablename,gdwstg2.proc_name).

Here My doubt is from Root Database(DBC) we can give grant access to child databases but we can't give grant access to dbc itself for that there should be some othere database or user who control and give grant access to dbc.

Is there any Parent Database or user to contral "DBC".

I have tried to give access to user dbc on databse dbc through Teradata Administrator but can't.

Could you please give your valuable suggestion.

THANKS IN ADVANCE
