Bill- This error is typically caused by sessions running in ANSI mode failing to COMMIT their work. KAP195286 - "2971: The AMP Lock table has overflowed" caused by Insert Select into a Volatile Table that contains a USI The first article has a great explanation of the problem and provides analysis tips and a script to help identify the root cause. The second article is the most recent issue we've uncovered but it is pretty specific. -dave.clark
