 veda: What is the select from the view look like? As mentioned previously, if it is a join it is going to take longer than if it is a single table view. The other thing to realize is that QUALIFY = 1000 only returns the row(s) with a rank value of 1000, not 1000 rows. You probably want <= if you are looking for 1000 rows being values 1 through 1000 and not just the value of 1000. This makes me wonder about your comment of it running for 2 hrs vs 10 minutes. Also, if you are looking to use less spool, do you really need all columns (*)? Regards, Michael Larkins
