Sreenivasa, The list compiled by Jeff Casher is pretty exhaustive. You will not need VC++ compiler if you go w/ his suggestions. There are some limitations on versions and compatibility that Jeff has sighted. Uninstall previously installed software (framework) if it is not being used by other applications. You could google this text "Install Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Redistributable" and "install Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Software Development Kit " It should take you to the correct installables. Follow remainder of the steps religiously. Trust me, follow them as a first grader you should be fine. I did the same! Thanks, Vinay Bagare
