Forum,

We are currently attempting to put together a well defined DW Architecture. In doing so an obvious starting point is Data Acquisition (source system extracts). Currently it is pretty much homegrown, where we have a mix of full DBMS unloads, database triggers (to capture full CDC), and hand coded DLL extensions for unstructured data.

* What I am attempting to determine is

o How the rest of the "world" is handling this challenge?

o Best Practices, experiences, successes, and challenges that are being seen by everyone else?

o If you are using a vendor tool

+ Against what types of sources?

+ Pro�s and Con�s?
