Subj:   Known issues with changing Teradata System

From:   Clark, Dave

We have customers that are interested in "hardening" the security of their sites which includes changing the default passwords for system accounts. If your site has already done this, do you recall any impact to any utilities or scripts? Scripts that come to mind include: cc_check, dumplook, perflook. I've listed the known system accounts below.

     DatabaseName OK to Change?
     ------------ -------------
     $NETVAULT_CATALOG NA - Database
     ALL N
     CONSOLE NA - Database
     CRASHDUMPS Y
     DBC Y
     DBCMANAGER Y

     EXTUSER NA - Pseudo User
     NETVAULT1 Y
     NETVAULT2 Y
     PUBLIC N
