You should contact Teradata Customer services - what exactly are you trying to achieve by 'bouncing the box'? If a recovery is in progress a
hard reboot is unlikely to help. Even if it does it would be beneficial to have an understanding of what happened on your system to cause the
current situation - it may help you prevent it reoccuring in the future.
