In Teradata Manager, when using the Ampusage Data Collector, the process obviously summarises the data in the DBC.Ampusage table and stores it in your TM LogAmpusage table.

However, from my experience it doesn't appear to actually do anything to the data in the DBC.Ampusage table (ie clear down the data that it has already summarised) ?

Is this how it is intended to work and therefore, I need to put a process in to take care of the cleardown of the DBC.Ampusage data myself. Or should the DBC.Ampusage data get cleared down once summarised?

I've looked through the TM User Guide but to be honest, for lots of TM processes, I am finding that the level of detail isn't anywhere near enough.
